We help make your world a safer place.

Securitas is hiring a Full-Time Mobile Security Officer to provide driving-based security services throughout the Wilmington/Merrimack Valley area.

This is a multi-site mobile patrol position—not a stationary security assignment. The officer will operate a company patrol vehicle and travel between client properties throughout each shift.

Current Opening

Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 AM–10:30 AM
Hours: 32.5 hours per week
Employment Status: Full-time
Primary Location: Wilmington, Massachusetts

The assigned coverage area includes Wilmington, Bedford, Billerica, Tewksbury, Andover, Lawrence, Haverhill, Peabody, and surrounding communities.

Important Driving Requirement

A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record meeting Securitas requirements are required for this position.

This is a professional driving position. Mobile Security Officers operate a company patrol vehicle for a significant portion of the shift and are expected to follow all traffic laws, posted speed limits, seatbelt requirements, and Securitas safe-driving policies at all times.

Securitas patrol vehicles are equipped with Samsara vehicle-safety technology that monitors driving activity and behavior. Officers must be comfortable working in a monitored company vehicle and receiving coaching or corrective action when necessary.

Safe and responsible driving is a condition of employment. Candidates who are not willing to follow company driving rules consistently or work in a monitored patrol vehicle should not apply.

About the Position

As a Mobile Security Officer, you will operate an assigned Securitas patrol vehicle and travel between client properties throughout the Wilmington/Merrimack Valley area.

You will independently complete structured security visits, follow client-specific instructions, document your work, and respond appropriately when something is wrong.

Assignments may include scheduled or randomized patrol inspections, alarm response, guard checks, employee welfare checks, opening or securing facilities, key-control duties, temporary site coverage, and other site-specific security services.

Because this shift begins at 4:00 AM, candidates must be dependable and consistently able to report to work early Monday through Friday. Officers work independently while remaining in communication with the Securitas operations team.

  • Conduct guard checks and employee welfare checks and provide temporary site coverage when assigned.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients, employees, visitors, dispatchers, supervisors, and responding emergency personnel.
