Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
CNC Mechanic 1
As the CNC Mechanic 1, you will help our maintenance team in installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment. You will also perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment, carry out preventative maintenance, troubleshoot faulty machinery and diagnose the root cause of the malfunction using diagnostic tools and problem-solving abilities. These activities will all involve close collaboration with other mechanical maintenance technicians and production workers.
In this role you will report to the Machine Shop Operations Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Identifying the cause of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Repairing broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Performing preventive maintenance inspections and services on machines.
- Thoroughly cleaning machines and machine parts, removing parts, and reinstalling as necessary.
- Recording and reporting damaged, worn, or broken parts.
- Oiling and lubricating moving parts on machines to ensure efficient performance.
- Cleaning and organizing the inventory and maintaining shop area, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Performing other assignments as needed.
Skills You Bring:
- Vocational or community college degree with related coursework or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of related experience required.
- Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
- Works well independently and with others.
- Experience with Oracle, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Express Maintenance, preferred.
Shop Compliance:
Maintain safety protocols, keep tools and the workspace organized, and adhere to environmental/hazardous waste guidelines.
Supervisory Scope: (Optional)
- Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Often leads or supervises the activities of other nonexempt personal.
Physical Demands and
Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50-90 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, push pull, and move as needed to reach, and service machinery.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $26.11 - 44.18 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Bonus:
This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
