Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled professional for a role based in Lawrence, MA. This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a compensation range of $28.35 to $42.00 per hour.

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain production machinery and climate-controlled systems by strictly adhering to manufacturer guidelines and operational manuals.
• Support the upkeep, functionality, and repair of RODI and purified water infrastructure to ensure consistent facility performance.
• Identify mechanical malfunctions by monitoring equipment in motion, utilizing diagnostic testing tools, and listening for operational irregularities.
• Calibrate control instruments and functional components using precision tools such as straightedges, plumb bobs, levels, and hand tools.
• Dismantle machinery to replace faulty components, ensuring all Lockout/Tagout protocols are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
• Minimize operational interruptions by proactively updating staff on repair timelines and routine preventive maintenance schedules.
• Efficiently navigate and oversee the digital work order system for preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain reliable mobile communication throughout the workday to ensure seamless coordination with the team.
• Assist with property upkeep and snow removal tasks as necessary to support facility operations.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of a High School Diploma or an equivalent educational credential.
• At least five years of professional experience in the trade or equivalent vocational training.
• Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Strong capabilities in both written and verbal professional communication.
• Residency within a 30-mile radius to accommodate rotational on-call responsibilities.
• A valid driver's license is required to facilitate travel between sites and handle on-call duties.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Familiarity with standard Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain high attention to detail.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift loads weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Capacity to maneuver, push, pull, or carry heavier objects with the assistance of equipment or team members.
• Ability to navigate the facility, climb ladders, work at heights, and crawl under machinery while using specialized tools.
• Capability to work in diverse environments, including extreme temperature conditions such as outdoor weather or industrial freezers.
• Ability to remain in a seated or standing position for long durations while working at a computer or workbench.
