Full‑time position with a 3×12 shift (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) and rotating weekend coverage. Sign‑on bonus of $10,000 available to well‑qualified applicants.
Job OverviewSouthern Tennessee Regional Health System – Lawrenceburg, part of Lifepoint Health, invites experienced RN candidates to join our Orthopedics/Medical Surgical unit. The unit offers a supportive, family‑oriented environment where staff collaborate in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting.
Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Acts as advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
- Current Tennessee RN license or a compact state RN license with Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 7 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- One year of previous RN experience preferred.
