SummaryYouth that are court‑ordered to be on home incarceration or home supervision are processed by Department of Juvenile Justice/Detention Alternatives Coordinators (DAC). The DACs then make referrals to the Kentucky United Methodist Children’s Homes case managers. The youth will be monitored by the Case Manager to ensure the completion of the court mandates – this monitoring could include GPS monitoring equipment placed on the youth and in the home.
The Case Manager will monitor the youth weekly through face‑to‑face contacts and as DAC specifies. Additional daily contacts will be in the form of telephone calls to specified locations depending on the individual situation. Reports regarding the youth’s performance on this mandate will be provided weekly to the referring DAC.
