• As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Under the direction of an RN or Med-Surge Charge Nurse, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication. Documents patient care given.
• Assists RN with development of plan of care.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

• Certifications:
  
  AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 7 days of hire.
• Required Skills:
  
  Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Experience:
  
  One-year previous experience preferred.
• Licenses: LPN License for the State of Tennessee
• Education:
  
  Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.

STRHS-Lawrenceburg, formerly Crockett Hospital, is a 99-bed, acute care facility located in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, 85 miles south of Nashville. We have been providing the best healthcare in Lawrence County and surrounding counties in Southern Middle Tennessee since 1974. The hospital provides a range of services including an Outpatient Surgery Unit, a state‑of‑the‑art 24‑hour physician‑staffed Emergency Department, an Intensive Care Unit, a 10‑bed Physical Rehabilitation Unit, a Women’s Health Center, and diagnostic imaging services such as MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CT, X‑ray, Digital Mammography and Ultrasound.
