Registered Nurse (RN) Rehabilitation (Rehab) PRN

Schedule:

1X12 per pay period; 1 weekend per month

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Lawrenceburg, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Rehab RN to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing intensive, interdisciplinary rehabilitation. The RN will focus on restoring functional independence and quality of life.

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

• Current Tennessee or compact state RN license and an associate degree from an accredited nursing school. BSN preferred.
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) within 7 days of hire, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within 9 months of hire.
• Required Skills:
  
  Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to work in a stressful environment.
• Experience:
  
  One-year previous experience preferred.
• Licenses:
  Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with the proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
• Education:
  
  Associate’s degree required; BSN preferred.
