Travel RN - Labor & Delivery - Obstetrics

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/OB-GYN position requiring prior L&D and nursery experience along with AWHONN and NRP certification.

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN or Compact)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, NRP, and PALS
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Previous OB, L&D, and nursery experience required
• Knowledge of intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn nursery care required
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to start

• OB/GYN combined unit within an acute care hospital setting
• 6-bed unit providing labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery care
• Includes pre-transition newborn care responsibilities
• Laboring moms cared for 1:1 with couplet care model
• Serves patients of all ages
• Uses CPM and Med Host EHR systems
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, with additional weekends as needed
• On-call required as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Provide direct nursing care during labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery stages
• Team-oriented environment requiring a positive, collaborative attitude
• Any scrub color permitted, but non-facility branded attire is not allowed
• Biweekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
