Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support our accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow within the accounting profession.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close
- Maintain general ledger accounts and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Prepare bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs a plus)
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, SAP, or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience in month-end close processes
- Exposure to financial reporting and audits
- CPA or progress toward CPA certification (a plus)
