Certified Public Accountant

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Certified Public Accountant role based in Lawrenceville, GA at ATA Accounting & Tax Assistance LLC. The CPA will prepare and review individual and business tax returns, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and identify opportunities for tax planning. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing, analyzing, and reconciling financial statements, maintaining accurate accounting records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.

The role also involves advising clients on financial and tax matters, responding to tax notices, and collaborating with internal team members to resolve complex accounting issues. The CPA will interact regularly with clients, provide clear documentation, and support process improvements within the firm.

• Strong proficiency in Accounting and Finance, including general ledger management and analytical skills.
• English and Spanish (fluent).
• Experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements, with attention to accuracy and compliance.
• Demonstrated expertise in Tax Preparation for individuals and businesses, with knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.
• Active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license, or eligibility and commitment to obtain CPA certification within an agreed timeframe.
• Proficiency with accounting and tax software, and advanced skills in spreadsheets and related office tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Strong organizational skills, reliability in meeting deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; public accounting or tax firm experience is highly beneficial
