Job Summary
We are looking for an accounting analyst at Lawrenceville, GA 30045 will support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, general ledger activities, and month-end and year-end closing processes. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and support management with accurate financial information.
Pay$63,000 to $75,000 per year
Shift1st shift: 8 a.m.
- 5 p.m., Monday - Friday
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage and review general ledger accounts to ensure transactions and journal entries are accurate and properly recorded
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries as needed
- Perform bank, customer, and vendor account reconciliations
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Analyze customer accounts and assist with reviewing past-due balances and collections
- Assist with cash management and monitoring of daily financial transactions
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end close procedures
- Analyze financial statements and perform variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas requiring attention
- Prepare financial reports and analysis for management
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting accuracy
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Support the CFO and management team with ad-hoc financial reports and financial analysis
- Ensure accounting activities are performed accurately and in compliance with company policies and applicable accounting principles
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting
- Experience supporting month-end and year-end close
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems
- Experience with SAP is a plus
- Experience working in a medium-sized company or manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred
- Experience with financial analysis, variance analysis, and process improvement
