Job Title
This position will be responsible for the management, inspection, and construction oversight on a variety of new preventive/corrective maintenance projects within Field Operations.
Job DescriptionThis position will prioritize and assign inspection work, provide QA/QC of asset inspection documentation, and aid with scope definition, budgets, schedules, constructability reviews, and permit administration and compliance. This position will interface with operations and maintenance team members, consultants, contractors, and various governmental divisions or departments. The individual will be responsible for reviewing projects to assure they meet Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources quality requirements.
Essential duties include supervising staff, preparing plans and designs for contractors, reviewing inspection reports, responding to complex questions and concerns from citizens, contractors, and other agencies regarding construction projects, inspecting construction sites, determining project specifications, estimating project cost, and evaluating contractor proposals.

This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
GradeThe grade for this position is C41(2). Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Minimum QualificationsAssociate's degree in engineering, business management, project management, or a related field; AND four years of construction experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered. Valid Driver's License from state of residency.
Preferred QualificationsGeorgia Water Distribution Operator License OR Georgia Wastewater Collection System Operator License.
