PositionSummary
Georgia Gwinnett College is now accepting applications for part‑time faculty positions in Social Work in the School of Liberal Arts for the academic year 2026‑2027. The posting will remain active for AY26-27 hiring (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Part‑time faculty positions are semester‑based, report directly to the Department Chair, and may be conducted in face‑to‑face, online, hybrid, or blended formats. Positions may also be on an as‑needed basis and require additional time outside of class to provide written feedback and to meet individually with students throughout the semester.
Responsibilities- Develop course curricula, including the syllabus, lesson plans, and graded assignments, in accordance with program requirements and in consultation with the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.
- Review, evaluate, and recommend student learning materials.
- Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving institutional and course goals.
- Submit required paperwork related to instruction in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide written feedback and meet individually with students outside of scheduled class times.
A minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline is required.
- Terminal degree in the teaching discipline.
- 1‑year college‑level teaching experience.
- Sustained professional engagement that demonstrates relevance and currency in the field of teaching.
Strong commitment to undergraduate education, student engagement, and service to the college and community. GGC values innovative teaching, advising, and mentoring. Advising and mentoring are expected of all faculty.
Background and EligibilityHiring is contingent upon eligibility to work in the United States, and proof of eligibility will be required upon acceptance of an employment offer.
