Georgia Gwinnett College is now accepting applications for part-time faculty positions in Geography in the School of Liberal Arts for the academic year ). The posting will remain active for AY26‑27 hiring (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Part‑time faculty positions are semester‑based and report directly to the Department Chair. Courses may be conducted in face‑to‑face, online, hybrid, or blended formats. These positions are on an as‑needed basis and require additional time outside of class for written feedback and individual student meetings throughout the semester.
Part‑time faculty may teach in the fall, spring, and/or summer semesters, with classes offered morning, afternoon, evening, and weekends.
- Developing course curricula, including the syllabus, lesson plans, and graded assignments, in accordance with the requirements of the upper‑division program and in consultation with the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.
- Reviewing, evaluating, and recommending student learning materials.
- Evaluating students to measure their progress in achieving institutional and course goals.
- Timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
A minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.
Preferred Qualifications- Terminal degree in the teaching discipline
- 1‑year college‑level teaching experience
- Sustained professional engagement that demonstrates relevance and currency in the field of teaching.
