Compensation Details: $64,480/YR.

This job is a full-time, benefited, FLSA Exempt/Professional position in the Engineering Construction Manufacturing and Design Division that reports to the Dean.

Schedule:

This is a 40-hour position that works on the Lawrenceville campus

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline OR AAT/AS/AAS in Automotive Technology AND two years related work experience.
• Must hold ASE Certification OR other industry certifications.
• Must have minimum of two years relevant work experience.

• Postsecondary teaching experience.

• Prepares and delivers lecture and/or lab course material.
• Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for specified courses.
• Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.
• Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.
• Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately.
• Assists with recruitment retention and job placement efforts.

• Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for specified courses.
• 20% Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• 30% Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.
• 10% Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within 10% Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately.

• 10% Performs other duties as assigned in the fulfillment of the needs, philosophy, and purpose of Gwinnett Technical College.
