Employment Terms :
This job is a full-time (12 months), benefited, FLSA Exempt/Professional position in the Business Science Division that reports to the Dean of Business Sciences. This position’s primary location will be the Lawrenceville Campus.

Salary
- Commensurate with education and experience $69,680/yr

Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 40055):
Doctorate or Master's degree in related field OR Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

A degree from an AACSB accredited business program.

Three years college teaching experience (face-to-face and online).Experience in teaching college-level Marketing courses in university, two-year colleges, or degree-granting technical colleges.

Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Software programs

Experience teaching utilizing the Blackboard Learning Management System.

Experience using Simple Syllabus Five or more years work experience in the Marketing/Advertising field.

PCM certification and active member of the American Marketing Association.

Experience in course and curriculum development, demonstrated flexibility with diverse student population and learning styles; demonstrated experience with a variety of teaching strategies including the use of advanced instructional technologies.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and the community. Proficient in written and oral communication.

Demonstrated competency in Adobe Software Products. Some experience with online instruction a plus.

Job Description

Summary:

Under general supervision, to serve as program director and perform duties which include curriculum design and development; instruction, recruitment, and advisement of students; budgeting; and management of adjunct faculty. The program director will be responsible for teaching a minimum of four classes of day or evening instructional courses per semester (not including OBI or internships). Duties also include participation in college committees and participation in professional enhancement.

Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives. Requests and maintains supplies and equipment and prepares budget requests. Conducts advisory board meetings with departmental advisory board. Develops the department’s course schedule each semester. Maintains program certification requirements, as appropriate. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports (program review and SACSCOC accreditation reports). Attends staff development training, workshops, seminars and conferences.

Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area. Meets with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students' instructional programs and other issues. Assists with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts. Assist the dean with other duties as assigned.
