Responsibilities
- Prepare plans, specifications, estimates, schedules, design exception reports and other studies for roadway improvement projects
- Perform design of highways and roadways including horizontal and vertical alignments, roadside safety features, grading, ROW limits and earthwork
ROW limits - Prepare design sketches and drawings using CADD
- Cooperate and coordinate with other design team members
- Supervise and check the work of less experienced engineers
- Visit project sites to investigate conditions
- Review contractor submittals such as working drawings and RFIs
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in civil or highway engineering
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
