CADD Designer​/Detailer L

As a member of an interdisciplinary design team, responsibilities may include:

• Organize and maintain CADD files and workspace for transportation engineering projects including civil, structural and electrical engineering plans and ROW plans
• Detail steel and concrete structures such as bridges and retaining walls
• Prepare construction plans conforming to CADD standards of transportation agencies such NJDOT, NJTA, PANYNJ, NJ Transit, PennDOT, PTC, NYSDOT and NYCDDC
• Prepare color plans for proposals
• Prepare color displays for public meetings
• Oversee and train CADD technicians
• Work closely with project managers and project engineers
• Perform quality control tasks such as checking work of CADD technicians
• Occasional travel to other Arora offices for temporary assignments

• Associate degree, vocational school or military training certificate in Engineering Graphics or related field
• Five or more years of progressive experience preparing engineering plans using CADD
• Proficiency w/ Microstation and AutoCAD software
• Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, Revit and/or BIM preferred
• Understanding of NJ/NY/PA transportation agency CADD standards preferred
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, and be committed to completing assignments accurately and on time
