Project Engineer, Quality Engineering

Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES to include but not limited to:

• Understand and abide by all Company safety rules, regulations, and policies.
• Ensure that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained in the facility in accordance with Company standards, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
• Know and understand your OSHA rights.
• Conduct safety training topics as required or needed.
• Attend all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions.
• Promptly investigate accidents and near misses, completing appropriate reports and taking action to eliminate root causes.
• Manage controlled documents.
• Oversee and coordinate new equipment installations.
• Design or modify equipment/processes to support maintenance and production requirements.
• Prepare part prints for fabrication and work with outside vendors to secure bids.
• Prepare and submit CPRs along with applicable documents for capital purchases.
• Assist and/or coordinate scrap reduction initiatives.
• Collect and analyze data to improve processes and maintain process control.
• Support and actively participate in the Quality Improvement Process and Facility Excellence (FEM).
• Work with other foundry and engineering groups to improve processes, equipment, and reduce costs.
