Job Description
THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO CURRENT TAX COMMISSIONER EMPLOYEES ONLY.
The Senior Tax Services Associate is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations and management of the assigned location. Work assignments may be at any DMV location, and reassignments can be made at any time based on operational needs. The position is responsible for the collection and processing of property tax and motor vehicle taxes, fees and penalties in compliance with mandated requirements and established procedures.
The ability to handle complex and unique situations are required.
- Maintaining branch operations, with or without the presence of branch management.
- Providing direction to staff.
- Prioritizing and assigning tasks.
- Ensuring staff is adhering to all applicable laws, policies and procedures.
- Scheduling, recording and analyzing statistics.
- Balancing funds and maintaining inventory controls.
- Other tasks as assigned.
The grade for this position is B23(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or G.E.D.; AND
- Four years of customer service experience, including at least two years of tax experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to multi-task under pressure
- Flexibility and availability in work schedule as assignments may be at any DMV location.
