We are currently seeking a Permanent Vice President of Accounting and Finance in the construction industry. This role will be a key player in our executive leadership team, providing financial guidance and strategic input to the overall management of the company.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities in the organization, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers. The role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the construction industry.

- Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
- Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with CEO, COO and Board of Directors.
- Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth.
- Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
- Establish and maintain relationships with senior management and external partners and stakeholders.
- Review all formal finance, HR, and IT related procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required; MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- CPA certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to analyze figures, manage budgeting, and understand financial planning.
- High level of honesty, integrity, commitment, and responsibility.
- Able to work with complex data and provide meaningful analysis.
- Exceptional problem‑solving skills and strong attention to detail.
