Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. Please note that this position will start at our hospital in Gwinnett and then transfer to Johns Creek.

Pay: $21 - $42/hour. This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through our leveling system.
Shift: All shifts available.
The role of Veterinary Technician is an exciting, fast-paced opportunity that allows you to utilize and expand your skills while working alongside talented veterinary professionals.
As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:
- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients, using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
- Triage emergency cases, obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
- Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
- Understand normal ranges of vital signs and alert Veterinarian to any changes.
- Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs.
- Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
- Calculate medical math and administer medications appropriately.
- Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters.
- Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
- Mentor and train co-workers.
- Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
