Job Description Summary
As a Physician Assistant (PA) at Vera Whole Health, you will serve as a primary care provider within a value-based, team-oriented medical home model. You will focus on building long-term patient relationships, addressing the "whole person" rather than just symptoms. Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care:
Conduct comprehensive health history interviews, perform physical examinations, order/interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans. - Collaborative Practice:
Work closely with a care team (nurses, medical assistants, and health coaches) to coordinate care and support patient goals. - Preventive & Whole Health Focus:
Drive participation in annual wellness evaluations and health promotion activities. - Clinical Excellence:
Maintain high standards of care, adhere to evidence-based practices, and participate in quality improvement committees and regular team meetings. - Patient Engagement:

Manage patient volume (often to patients per day) to allow for longer, meaningful visits while balancing clinical duties and administrative tasks like charting and lab follow-ups. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all care meets state, local, and national standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA regulations. - Adaptability:
Providers may be required to rotate within their region to provide coverage after-hours or as needed.
