Position: Telemetry Nurse (RN) in Lawrenceville, GA
Provide expert nursing care in a dynamic critical care setting specializing in cardiac and medical-surgical patients. This night shift role involves working with adults to geriatric population in a 32-bed overflow IMCU unit. The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with a strong background in cardiac arrhythmias, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced cardiac therapies, including management of cardiac drips and post-procedural care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions such as CHF, arrhythmias (including stable A-Fib, SVT, bradycardia), chest pain, and post-cardiac catheterization.
• Manage hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac drips (amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, nitroglycerin, milrinone), and administer critical care medications including heparin and argatroban.
• Provide care for patients with renal, pulmonary (COPD, pulmonary edema, PE), surgical cases, and occasional vascular or orthopedic overflow.
• Maintain compliance with unit protocols and use electronic systems such as Epic and Pyxis.
• Support unit staffing by floating within the facility as required.
• Work night shifts of three 12-hour shifts (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) with every other weekend coverage.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities when rare, with a maximum 2-hour response time.
• Fulfill holiday work requirements depending on assignment length.

Qualifications and

Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Minimum of one year of critical care experience; travel experience required-first-time travelers not accepted.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory.
• Proficiency in managing complex cardiac patients and familiarity with cardiac drips.
• Experience with medical-surgical nursing and arrhythmia recognition.

Work Schedule:

• Nights, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00).
• Every other weekend rotation.
• Occasional floating within the facility.
• Call responsibilities are infrequent.
