Telemetry Registered Nurse - Lawrenceville, Georgia

A specialized nursing opportunity focused on adult to geriatric patient care within a cardiac and medical-surgical environment is available. This contract role requires at least one year of acute care RN experience with a strong cardiac skill set and credentialing in BLS and ACLS. Candidates without prior travel experience will not be considered.

This position involves managing overflow Intermediate Medical Care Unit (IMCU) patients, including complex cardiac cases such as arrhythmias, cardioversion, congestive heart failure, chest pain, and post-cardiac catheterization care. You will also care for patients with pulmonary conditions (COPD, pulmonary edema), renal issues, vascular cases, and occasional orthopedic or cerebrovascular overflow. Proficiency with cardiac drips-amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, nitroglycerin, milrinone-and hemodynamic monitoring are essential.

Experience with Epic electronic health records and related clinical systems is preferred.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in acute care setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong competency in cardiac care, arrhythmia management, and medical-surgical nursing
• Familiarity with Epic, Pyxis, SBAR communication
• Ability to float within facility as needed
• Night shift availability (3x12-hour shifts, 7 pm to 7 am)
• Compliance with facility onboarding requirements

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality care to patients with cardiac and medical-surgical conditions in a 32-bed overflow unit
• Manage cardiac drips and hemodynamic monitoring post-percutaneous interventions
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams using clinical judgment within a fast-paced environment
• Perform emergency interventions, including cardioversion and arrhythmia stabilization
• Maintain compliance with all clinical documentation and facility policies

Schedule & Expectations:

• Night shift: 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• Call is rare with a 2-hour response time if required
• Expectation to work major holidays falling within assignment period
