Job SummaryThe Vice President of Business and Finance/Chief Business Officer (CBO) serves as a key member of the administrative leadership team, providing both strategic and operational support to the College. The CBO is the primary financial risk manager and financial advisor for the institution, leading implementation and effectiveness of financial information systems and other control systems; affirming compliance with contractual financial obligations;
safeguarding all College assets and managing the liquidity and investment of College funds to optimize cash flow and minimize financial risks. The CBO is responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of the College advising on all matters of fiscal security and accountability, financial planning and reporting and stewardship of College resources. The Vice President for Business and Finance is the Chief Business Officer of the College, a direct report to the President and a key strategic advisor to the President and members of the President's cabinet.
- Assess and evaluate financial performance through strategic financial modeling with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts. Provide insight and recommendations regarding both the short-term and long-term plans of the College. Execute necessary strategies and monitor the outcomes to achieve stated goals. Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the executive leadership team.
- Provide strategic leadership and direct administrative oversight for core financial and operational functions, including Controller, Accounting, Budgeting, Purchasing, Student Accounts, and Auxiliary Services.
