Responsibilities
- Read and understand engineering drawings to assemble and wire hot runner components.
- Inspect, clean, and prepare components for assembly and ensure all parts meet quality standards.
- Set up and assemble hot runners in a timely manner, meeting deadlines.
- Produce high quality products.
- Check all assembled parts against the dimensions specified on the engineering drawing and conform to all certification requirements.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Understand both verbal and written instructions.
- Support an environment of growth and enthusiasm with other associates.
- Ensure conformance to specifications utilizing CMM, height gauges, micrometers, and other precision measuring devices to adjust tools and produce drawing‑specified dimensions, ensuring overall quality.
- Evaluate and maintain results and quality to ensure parts are within specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Complete work orders, associated documents, and labor as required.
- Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements to minimize downtime, following manufacturer’s instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the operation processes.
- Record part counts, runtimes, and process data accurately (specifically in production documentation or the ERP System).
- Work both independently and on a team.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills with close attention to detail, consistently following established quality and safety standards.
- Knowledgeable in reading and interpreting blueprints and CAD drawings.
- Skilled in conducting inspections and utilizing precision measuring devices to maintain product quality.
- Knowledge of proper health and safety measures.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
- 2+ years of experience in the injection mould industry.
- Inspection experience and ability to use precision measuring devices for overall quality.
- Knowledge of proper health and safety measures.
- Desire to learn and grow within the company.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring schematics.
- Good math skills.
- Understand and practice safe working methods.
- Basic understanding of tools.
- Willingness to work to ISO / QS 9000 standards and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Capable of performing physical tasks including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
