- Troubleshoot and repair automated manufacturing equipment, including pneumatic systems, PLC systems, vision systems, robotics systems, 3-phase circuits, motor starters and controls
- Read and understand schematics, blueprints, manuals, manufacturers’ specifications, and diagrams
- Find root causes and propose and implement solutions
- Implement robotics or PLC changes to improve manufacturing line efficiency
- Implement HMI changes to help the operator understand equipment condition
- Document repairs and modifications to manufacturing equipment
- Monitor the performance of production equipment to identify problem areas and assess the effectiveness of countermeasures
- Assist in the deployment of new products or processes
- Perform other duties as requested by management
- Ensure that all safety procedures are followed in the work area
Associates or better. Technical/other training or better.
ExperienceKnowledgeable in the operation, maintenance, and repair of complex electronic/mechanical systems. Ability to read and understand electrical codes, electronic drawings, mechanical drawings, and blueprints. Ability to troubleshoot PLCs and robots (preferably FANUC, EPSON, OMRON). Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Must be process improvement driven. Good communication skills (verbal and written). Dependable and reliable for work schedule based on business needs.
Minimum of 1 year’s technical experience and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
