Working at EMUS as a Process Engineer 2 you will be given the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge and skills in a fast-paced, safety-conscious manufacturing environment in our Toner Department in our Lawrenceville campus. In this vital role as a Process Engineer 2, a major focus of this position will be to work on master plans for trials, including conducting the trials, and presenting the findings.

The ideal candidate will have experience creating and conducting trials and investigating yields and quality issues.

The Process Engineer will:

• Troubleshoot a variety of routine to complex production problems involving manufacturing processes such as quality and yield issues. Investigates and determines the root cause of failures and problems. Recommend countermeasures or changes in processing methods.
• Conduct routine to complex engineering trials and production process evaluations for manufacturing operations. Analyze production data and identify trends, problems, and opportunities for improvement. Recommend process adjustments to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency and reduce material and manpower costs.
• Develop, test, implement and document a variety of routine to complex processes in the manufacture of new and existing parts and/or products.
• Focus on continuous improvement opportunities, cost reduction and fast corrective actions.
• Investigate and determine the root cause of failures and problems.
• Recommend countermeasures or changes in processing methods.
• Recommend process adjustments to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency and reduce material and manpower costs.
• Create, write, and modify work process procedures.
• Conduct research, compile data and prepare reports. As well as prepare and deliver presentations.
• Prepare training materials and trains key production employees and production supervisors on new work.

Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field.

2 years:
Lean manufacturing knowledge.

2 years:
Working knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to the production of various products, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods. Strong technical and analytical ability, and strategic problem-solving skills, root cause analysis and cause prevention. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, models, technical plans and drawings. Demonstrate initiative and self-direction in planning, organizing, documenting and solving problems.

Proven ability to simultaneously and independently manage multiple tasks, cross-functional projects to completion and work with cross-functional teams and all levels staff members. Willingness to be hands-on in manufacturing facility. Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Intermediate skills in Office 365, MS Project and other application software used in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.

Able and willing to work outside normal business hours of M – F, 8:30 AM – 5 PM, including weekends when necessary.

Physical Requirements:

o Ability to sit, walk, stand, and work in loud environments frequently throughout the day. o Ability to move about occasionally throughout the day. This includes the ability to stoop, bend, carry (up to 20 lbs), climb, kneel, twist/turn, reach, and grasp. o Ability to lift and pull/push up to 35 lbs occasionally
