Come join our team  are seeking a Molding Engineer Technician for our company. Under the direction of the maintenance and engineering departments, the Molding Engineer Technician is responsible for leading and implementing various production/engineering projects, creating procedures and one-point manuals, and troubleshooting existing systems, improving current process, providing technical support, and maintaining the manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair molding manufacturing equipment.
  • Analyze manufacturing equipment (OEE, FPE calculations) and operations, write summaries to show deviations from standards or to show possible improvement , and capable of recommending and implementing modifications.
  • Investigate quality issues and prepare technical reports as required.
  • Lead improvement projects
  • Create procedures and one-point manuals
  • Maintain logs and records of equipment malfunctions and corrective actions.
  • Dismantle, adjust, repair, assemble, rebuild, and maintain equipment, circuitry, and computerized systems.
  • Read and understand schematics, blueprints, manuals, manufacturers’ specifications, and diagrams.
  • Train and assist production and maintenance employees regarding work standards and procedures.
  • Document repairs and modifications to manufacturing equipment
  • Assist in the deployment of new products or processes
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
  • Ensure that all safety procedures are followed in the work area
Education Preferred

Technical/other training or better.

Experience Required

6+ years of experience troubleshooting electrical/mechanical equipment/machinery in molding or plastic injection.

Experience leading projects with a focus on process improvements.

Ability to read and understand electrical codes, electronic drawing, mechanical drawing as well as ability to read blueprints. Experience calculating OEE, FPE, and other performance yields/KPIs.

Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Exhibit a positive, can-do attitude and work effectively as part of a team to support production, quality, safety, and continuous improvement objectives.

Willing and able to work Overtime, including weekends as needed.

Frequently work around production equipment, molding machinery, and associated manufacturing and warehouse processes.

Physical Requirements - Must be willing and able to:

Sit, stand, and walk for up to 60% of the workday.

Occasionally grasp, grip with force, perform fine motor manipulation, bend, kneel, twist, turn, and climb as required to inspect, operate, troubleshoot, and support molding equipment.

Push, pull, lift, and carry materials, tooling, machine components, and other manufacturing-related items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work around production and warehouse equipment, and machinery.

Preferred

Safely navigate a production floor environment and respond to operational demands in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all plant safety requirements while working around molding machinery and production equipment.
