View Point Health’s Adult Crisis Stabilization program (Lawrenceville, GA) provides psychiatric crisis intervention and stabilization services to adults. The Adult CSU operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform nursing assessments and develop initial nursing treatment plans
  • Provide supportive counseling, crisis intervention services, and ensure nursing care is delivered per physician orders
  • Supervise shift staff and serve as liaison between admitting facilities, guardians, and onsite team regarding client referrals and collateral information
  • Monitor changes in conditions, prepare shift reports, daily and shift nursing notes, nursing assessments, and gather collateral information related to ABA therapy
  • Provide clinical and medical input during multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and administer medications related to crisis intervention services
  • Perform medical treatments including PPEs, blood draws, urine sample collection, charting, direct patient care, discharges, assessments, patient education, and other documentation; report all pertinent client information
  • Apply the eight rights of medication administration and use two client identifiers whenever medications are administered
  • Oversee overall wellness and safety of clients, manage stable medical conditions, and report findings to the provider and treatment team
  • Document vital client information in the electronic health record per standards and assist in orienting new staff to the unit
  • Provide relief for breaks and assist with direct care floor coverage as needed
  • Attend all training courses, nurse meetings, and other staff meetings as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse or Multistate license; or one (1) year of experience at the lower-level Registered Nurse 1 (HCP
    070) or equivalent position
Preferred Qualifications
  • One or more years of nursing experience
  • One or more years of experience working in a behavioral health facility or with behavioral health clients
  • Experience working with psychiatric adults
Requirements / Competencies
  • Fully licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Georgia
  • Subject to random drug screens and pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds
  • Requires long periods of sitting/standing
  • Valid Georgia driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy
  • Must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting)
  • Any combination of training and experience that enables the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities
