Position: Med-Surg Nurse (RN) - Lawrenceville, GA
A dynamic opportunity is available for a registered nurse with med/surg and telemetry experience to provide focused care in a 32-bed unit serving adult and older adult patients. This contract position supports a patient population that includes trauma cases and requires expertise in managing acute medications such as heparin drips. The ratio is 1:5, fostering a well-balanced workload that allows for attentive patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and older adult patients, including trauma cases
• Administer and monitor acute medications, especially heparin drips, with precision
• Maintain compliance with BLS and ACLS protocols
• Utilize specialized equipment such as gait belts, geriatric chairs, and physical therapy devices
• Document all patient care and demographic information accurately in the electronic medical record system (non-EPIC)
• Adhere to a nursing ratio of 1:5, ensuring each patient receives personalized attention
• Handle a census reflective of a skilled nursing and rehab environment
• Participate actively in compliance with safety and quality standards, including prior NICHE training if applicable

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current RN license with documented med/surg and telemetry experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Experience in a trauma-focused unit preferred
• Familiarity with skilled nursing, rehab settings, and specialized geriatric care equipment
• Ability to provide reliable care for 48-hour contract shifts (
