Position: Stepdown Nurse (RN) in Lawrenceville, GA
A registered nurse with expertise in stepdown care is sought for a critical care unit specializing in cardiac patients. This contract position involves caring for individuals in a 28-bed Progressive Care/Intermediate Care Unit (PCU/IMCU) with a focus on complex cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, post-cardiothoracic surgery, and chest pain.
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and vasopressors.
• Manage patient loads with ratios ranging from 1:3 to 1:4 to ensure optimal care.
• Deliver telemetry monitoring for lower acuity cardiac patients as assigned.
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation including demographic and identification records.

Qualifications and

Experience:

• Current, unrestricted RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years documented experience in a PCU setting of similar size or larger.
• Strong background in cardiac nursing within fast-paced environments.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure with excellent critical thinking skills.
