Position OverviewAs a Home Infusion Nurse, you’ll provide one on one, skilled clinical care to patients where they feel most comfortable – at home or in an ambulatory infusion suite. This role offers true autonomy, a flexible schedule, and the opportunity to build meaningful connections with patients and caregivers while delivering life‑changing therapies.
Primary Responsibilities- Travel to patient homes and related sites using a personal or rental vehicle in accordance with company travel policies
- Provide safe and compliant infusion services in accordance with Optum Infusion Pharmacy policies, protocols, and physician orders
- Establish and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with patients and caregivers, including education on self‑care and self‑administration
- Assess patient suitability for home infusion therapy, including home safety, caregiver support, and patient independence
- Obtain and maintain accurate patient medical histories, clinical assessments, and all required documentation, including plans of care, visit notes, medication profiles, and discharge summaries
- Deliver skilled nursing care across a range of patient ages and conditions based on physician orders and treatment plans
- Establish, access, and maintain vascular devices, including peripheral IVs, PICC lines, tunneled catheters, and implanted ports
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses, including managing infusion reactions, vital signs, side effects, and lab collection
- Communicate patient status and therapy response promptly with physicians, pharmacists, supervisors, and other care team members
- Assist in staff orientation and training, serving as a clinical educator and resource as requested
- Knowledge of Infusion Nursing Society (INS) standards
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and EMR platforms
- Understanding of HIPAA, OSHA, and home infusion accreditation guidelines
- Proven solid communication, organization, critical thinking, and teaching skills
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- 1+ years of RN experience in a clinical setting supporting infusion or IV therapy (e.g., ICU, Med Surg, ED, PACU)
- Proven ability to work independently with solid clinical judgment and effective interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Paid door‑to‑door time and mileage fully compensated
- Mileage reimbursement in alignment with IRS standard mileage rates

The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour based on full‑time employment. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
