Travel Registered Nurse CICU

Overview

Registered Nurse, CICU opening in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This travel, temporary assignment starts 10/05/2026 for 13 weeks, with a weekly pay range of $1,853 to $1,900 and guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is 12-hour days on a 12x3 schedule in a high-acuity CICU unit that supports post-operative open-heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. The unit is a 20-bed cardiovascular ICU equipped with devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, CRRT, and epicardial pacemakers.

No local candidates within 50 miles. AHA BLS and ACLS are required; CCRN is preferred, NIH cert is noted in the job notes. Holiday coverage is required for two major holidays and one minor holiday during the assignment.

• - Provide direct patient care for CICU patients recovering from open-heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries
• - Monitor hemodynamics, interpret telemetry, and manage ventilatory support as needed
• - Administer medications and therapies, titrate infusions, and monitor for adverse effects
• - Manage complex devices and lines (IABP/Impella, CRRT, epicardial pacemakers, central venous/arterial lines)
• - Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, participate in rounds, and update care plans in the electronic health record
• - Respond to emergencies, ensure infection control, and educate patients and families as appropriate

• - Minimum of 2 years of recent CICU/CVICU nursing experience
• - AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• - CCRN certification preferred
• - NIH certification noted in job notes
• - Active RN licensure in Georgia
• - Ability to work in a high-acuity CICU environment and meet holiday requirements
