Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac ICU position requiring recent specialty experience and GA or compact RN licensure.

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN and NIH Stroke Scale certifications preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in cardiac ICU specialty required

• Work in a highly specialized 20-bed Cardiac ICU (CVC) unit caring for open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients
• Uses specialized equipment including intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, CRRT, and epicardial pacemakers
• 12-hour day shifts, schedule varies between 7A-7P
• 3 shifts per week with a deferred schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care for complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical patients
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Returning staff who previously worked permanently at the facility must have a 2-year break before returning as travelers
• RTO must be requested upfront and cannot be requested after an offer is made
