Purpose: The Safety, Training, and Compliance Specialist will be involved in field inspections of construction activities and ensuring field employees are held to the highest standard of safety and compliance. Upon completion of inspections, detailed reports are to be filled out and the results of the reports should be communicated to management.

• Perform safety and quality audits on work crews, including but not limited to: OSHA Compliance, DOT Vehicle Compliance, Customer and Internal Operations Procedure Manual (OPM) Compliance
• Assist with damage investigation and documentation including but not limited to:
  Utility Damages with Root Cause, Vehicular Accidents and Incidents, Personal Injuries, Workers Compensation, and Injury Reports
• Training and evaluating field employees on Operator Qualifications (OQ) Evaluations
• Assist with New Hire Safety Orientation

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug tests
• At least three (3) years experience in the underground utility industry
• Basic working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite:
  Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Must be able to use a smartphone app to record and report worksite information
• Leadership abilities, good organization, clear communication skills
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to maintain a work schedule and be dependable

• Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds and stand for four (4) hour periods of time
• Must be able to perform strenuous labor under poor or less than ideal field conditions
• Must be able to quickly move arms and legs and abdominal and lower back muscles
• Must be able to work around equipment that is loud and noisy

Knowledge of natural gas industry
