Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is hiring an experienced residential service plumber who is serious about their career, growth, and delivering high-level service. We are not looking for warm bodies. We are looking for a true professional with strong in-home sales skills who diagnoses accurately, presents estimates clearly, builds trust with homeowners, sells the job the right way through honesty and education, and delivers excellent workmanship backed by UWIN standards and guarantees.

If you cut corners, misdiagnose problems, do mediocre work, or do the bare minimum, this is not the job for you. We want a detail-oriented, highly skilled plumber who takes pride in getting the job done right the first time.

What We Expect

Ability to run residential service calls professionally and independently

Proper use of Service Titan to build estimates and present options

Proper use of Straight Forward Pricing, including all company-approved forms, on every call

Provide homeowners with three repair or service options on iPad

Sell repair and replacement work the right way through honesty, education, and professionalism

Wear floor savers in the client’s home and maintain a neat work area during repairs and service

Test all aspects of the job before leaving to ensure everything is working properly and to reduce unnecessary callbacks

Clearly explain each service performed after maintenance or repair is completed and ensure the customer is fully satisfied with the work

Maintain a safety-conscious attitude on the job and while driving

Always maintain cleanliness inside and outside of company vehicles

Leave the work area clean after every job, removing all debris, materials, and supplies

Follow the Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchise system and deliver clean, correct, high-quality workmanship on every call

Requirements

Journeyman license preferred, but not required depending on experience

GED or high school diploma

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Ability to pass a background check and drug screenings, including periodic screenings throughout employment

5+ years of residential service plumbing experience

Ability to read blueprints accurately and ensure all work meets applicable plumbing code requirements

Experience with drain and water repipes, leak detection and repair, tank and tankless water heaters, gas leak detection and piping, fixture and appliance installation, water purification and treatment, and sewer repair

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability

Ability to explain issues clearly, educate homeowners, and present repair options professionally

Reliable, honest, and able to work independently

Serious about career growth and willingness to complete training as needed for advancement and licensing

Availability of emergency calls and weekend rotation

Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs. and climb ladders regularly

Passion for residential plumbing service and pride in the trade

Must live within 35 miles of our Lawrenceville location

Pay

$26–$35/hr depending on experience

Bonus and commission opportunities available

Multiple pay structures available depending on experience

Commission-based salary for the right candidate
