Job Description
This position will be required to perform work on highly specialized equipment, installing and maintaining electrical/electronic devices, measuring and controlling instrumentation, and plant process control systems associated with pumping and booster stations, as well as water and wastewater plants. Essential Duties
- Provide training and technical support to employees.
- Direct employees in the proper repair/replacement of equipment.
- Trouble-shoot equipment to determine the cause of any problems.
- Make accurate and timely decisions with respect to repairs and/or replacements.
- May also act as a liaison between the department and on-site contractors.
Minimum Qualifications
Trades Tech II: (Grade B213) - $ 44,968.00 - $71,948.00
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of trades experience
- Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
- Class A Commercial Driver's License must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
- Valid driver's license.
Trades Tech III: (Grade B233) - $53,286.00 - $85,258.00
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years of trades experience
- Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
- Class A Commercial Driver's License must be obtained within 12 months of employment
- Valid driver's license.
Trades Tech IV: (Grade B313) - $57,950.00 - $92,719.00
- High school diploma, or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Five years of progressively responsible trades experience, some of which is in a supervisory capacity
- Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) must be obtained within 12 months of employment
Other Job Requirements/Information
- This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
- This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
