Role Overview
Innovation/Utility specialists perform integrated pest control, exclusion services, minor construction, and TAP (Thermal Acoustical Pest) insulation installation to serve residential and commercial clients.
Responsibilities- Conduct pest inspections and identify pest activity.
- Provide pest control services for residential and commercial customers.
- Install and maintain termite control systems.
- Efficiently install TAP insulation, ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Assist with light construction projects, including minor repairs and replacements related to pest damage.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain services and ensure satisfaction.
- Perform exclusion services and wildlife removal, building exclusion traps and following safety protocols.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations; participate in continuous training.
- Work around animals, insects, and termites.
- Operate in tight, confined spaces such as basements and crawl spaces.
- Set up and build exclusion traps; cut flashing and forms hardware cloth to specifications.
- Remove animals trapped in exclusion devices.
- Work in safety harnesses from rooftops when required.
- Complete production forms documenting services provided.
- Handle mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, fumes, dust, and chemicals safely.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, or reposition up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain balance on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces; use PPE, including OSHA‑compliant respirator.
- Safely operate a motor vehicle and keep equipment clean.
- High school diploma or GED; related experience, training, or equivalent education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
- Availability to work Monday‑Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to follow product label instructions.
- Customer‑facing experience preferred.
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, or local regulations (covered by the employer).
Base Pay Range – Hourly: $18.00 - $22.00
