Plumber Helper

Location:

Lawrenceville, GA.

We are seeking an experienced Plumber Helper who has a can‑do attitude, works well in a team, provides excellent customer service, and has strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in repairing, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems
  • Be readily available to support the head plumber on the job
  • Read blueprints and drawings to determine exact specifications and installation locations
  • Determine water supply networks and waste drainage systems
  • Install systems that transport water, waste, gases, or liquids
  • Cut openings in structures in preparation for pipes
  • Select all materials needed for installation, including pipe type and size
  • Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment
  • Assemble and install valves, fittings, couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
  • Install plumbing equipment such as sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, air conditioners, appliances, and trim
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles
  • Observe pressure gauges to identify and fix leaks
  • Test pipe systems and repair leaks
  • Prepare trenches for pipe lay
  • Clean job sites daily
Accountabilities
  • Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems
  • Support troubleshooting and problem‑solving on job sites
  • Follow safety protocols and plumbing codes
  • Learn and develop technical plumbing skills
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of common plumbing terminology, fittings, materials, pipes, and tools
  • 1–3+ years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Works cooperatively with others
