Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plumber Helper with a can‑do attitude, strong customer service orientation, and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in repairing, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems
  • Be available on‑hand to assist the head plumber on the job
  • Read blueprints and drawings to determine specifications for plumbing installation
  • Determine water supply networks and waste drainage systems
  • Install systems to transport water, waste, gases, or liquids
  • Cut openings in structures for pipes
  • Select materials needed for installation, including pipe type and size
  • Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment
  • Assemble and install valves and fittings
  • Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Install other plumbing equipment such as sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, air conditioners, appliances, and trim
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles
  • Observe pressure gauges to fix leaks
  • Test pipe systems and fix leaks
  • Prepare trenches for pipe laying
  • Clean up job site daily
Accountabilities
  • Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems
  • Support troubleshooting and problem‑solving on job sites
  • Follow safety protocols and plumbing codes
  • Learn and develop technical plumbing skills
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of common plumbing terminology, fittings, materials, pipes, tools, and equipment
  • 1–3+ years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Follow oral and written instructions
  • Work cooperatively with others
