Pest Control Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Apply approved pest‑control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, while adhering to safety standards.
• Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest‑free environment.
• Provide advice on how to reduce the risk of future infestations.
• Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, assist with sales to current customers, and expand service to new customers.
• Maintain, stock and ensure all pest‑control equipment is in good working condition.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal regulations regarding pest‑control products and safety protocols.
• Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle (routine maintenance provided).

• Clean shaven face for safety reasons.
• High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by the employer).
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
• Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills for following product label mixing instructions.
• Customer‑facing experience preferred.

• Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, passageways, and near animals, insects, and termites.
• Work around mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust and chemicals with proper training.
• Work both indoors and outdoors in local climate using company‑provided weather gear.
• Perform repetitive tasks such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; frequent use of ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
• Wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
