HVAC Maintenance Technician

Invitation Homes is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to support our portfolio of single-family rental homes. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure resident comfort and safety. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, replacing components, and responding to service requests within established time frames. You'll document work in our maintenance system, follow safety and EPA guidelines, and collaborate with local operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems in single-family rental homes
• Perform preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment
• Respond to resident service requests and emergencies in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical HVAC issues and replace faulty components
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and EPA regulations
• Document work orders, parts used, and time in maintenance management systems
• Coordinate with property operations teams and vendors for larger repairs
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in safe working condition
• Provide professional, courteous service to residents and internal stakeholders
• Participate in on-call rotations and occasional after-hours or weekend work
