School bus drivers in Gwinnett County Public Schools enjoy:

  • Drivers are able to bring their GCPS school‑aged children on the bus with them if the children attend school in the driver’s zone
  • All possible effort is made to place drivers in a zone where their child(ren) attend a GCPS school

Wanting to join the Transportation team as a School Bus Monitor? GCPS is also hiring bus monitors, a critical support role that provides assistance to Special Education students being transported. School bus monitors enjoy many of the same benefits as drivers, but are not required to hold a Commercial Driver’s License.

• Bus Managers and Monitors are paid an hourly rate that is based on related work experience, any college coursework and/or service in the U.S. military. Bus Managers and Monitors are paid two times per month.
