Job Summary
- This person will be shrinking wrapping, corner boarding, and bubble wrapping copy machines, labeling, pushing to staging lines and assisting with loading trucks when needed.
- Looking for someone who is energetic, needs limited supervision, and is a quality worker.
- This job requires standing, walking, and pushing from 80 to 100 machines a day.
8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Mon to Fri)
Key Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
- Minimum two years warehouse experience or one year company experience is required.
- Must have adequate reading and math skill and ability to write legibly.
- Must be physically able to perform assigned tasks including walking, standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods of time and ability to lift up to 100lbs.
- Must be able to safely and efficiently operate powered and non-powered material handling and dock equipment—requires forklift certification.
- Must adhere to all OSHA requirements.
- Ability to listen to direction, manage time and complete all work as assigned within established timelines.
- Team player and have ability to interact with fellow workers.
- Typical warehouse environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
- Work assignments are diversified. Interpret, comprehend and apply complex material, data and instruction—prepare, provide and convey diversified information.
- Working conditions regularly expose individuals to conditions that could result in minor cuts and burns.
- There is frequent exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.
- Physical effort is required in the lifting of tool cases, and assorted equipment weighing up to 75 pounds, as well as the ability to move objects on wheels that may weigh up to 700 pounds.
- Frequent stooping, bending, squatting and kneeling are required to service equipment at floor level.
- Responsible for completing specific warehouse duties on a regular basis.
- Position requires ability to perform all warehouse tasks including shipping, receiving, order filling, loading and unloading trucks.
- Must be able to efficiently operate powered and non-powered material handling and dock equipment.
- Position can be labor intensive.
- Adheres to all OSHA standards in performance of duties.
- Receiving functions include unloading all incoming freight from carriers, freight companies, delivery trucks, etc. Ensures all product received is thoroughly checked and inspected according to quality and quantity guidelines.
- Verifies all paperwork is accurate, completes and signs it and accepts product delivered.
- Controls all receiving documentation including the actual data entry with scanners or PCs.
- Documents and communicates any discrepancies to Team Lead or Supervisor.
- Stocking functions include putting away inbound receipts and relocating product within warehouse storage areas.
- Ensures all product is accurately tracked to a storage location.
- Ensures all product movement is recorded on paperwork or updated using scanners within the warehouse management system.
- Uses directed put-away reports or performs the physical put-aways into locations as directed.
- Order pulling functions include the accurate selection of product from warehouse locations to complete customer orders. Ensures all product descriptions and quantities match the order. Meets appropriate productivity/quality standards relative to job responsibility as outlined by manager.
- Completes and controls all paperwork per established process or updates and completes tasks using scanners within the warehouse management system.
- Shipping functions include completing all activities needed to prepare and finalize any and all order types for internal and external customers. Ensures all shipments are processed and controlled using manifest systems or other shipping controls.
- Packages shipments to ensure minimal damage during transit.
- Palletizes and loads product onto carrier trucks, freight companies, delivery trucks, etc.
- Responsible for the safe operation and use of any material handling or dock equipment, i.e., forklift, pallet truck.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
