Surgery Scheduler​/Precertification Coordinator - MMG Urology

Overview

Under the supervision of the Office Supervisor, responsible for obtaining insurance Precertification/verification and billing information on inpatient and outpatient accounts. Responsible for transcribing pertinent data through the accounts receivable system. Must demonstrate good relations with the public and co-workers. Must be able to work with limited supervision, coordinates with other personnel and serves as a back-up for registration and pre-admissions.

• Prefer familiarity with medical terminology.
• Prefer two years experience in the clerical and public relations field.
• One year computer and typing experience preferred.
• High school diploma with major courses of study in typing, filing, office methods, and computer skills preferred.
