Position Summary

CFDay is seeking a detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to support the Department of the Air Force Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) Credentialing Program. The Credentialing Specialist processes credential applications, reviews and validates supporting documentation, maintains secure electronic records, coordinates credential issuance, and provides professional customer service throughout the credentialing lifecycle. The successful candidate will be organized, accurate, responsive, and comfortable handling sensitive information in a regulated environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and process electronic LEOSA credential applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Verify required documentation, including identification, photographs, and supporting law enforcement documentation.
  • Perform independent validation activities before Government eligibility review.
  • Maintain accurate applicant and credential records within secure web-based credential management, case management, or records management systems.
  • Track application status and support timely processing from receipt through credential issuance and delivery.
  • Coordinate initial credentials, replacement credentials, and credential updates or changes.
  • Respond to applicant questions by telephone, email, and other approved communication methods.
  • Provide customer service regarding application requirements, missing documentation, status updates, and issue resolution.
  • Document customer interactions, correspondence, application actions, and processing decisions.
  • Protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and other sensitive or confidential records.
  • Support quality assurance reviews, record audits, error correction, and continuous process improvement.
  • Assist with monthly reporting, operational metrics, workload tracking, and program documentation.
  • Collaborate with Government representatives and internal team members to support accurate and timely credential processing.
  • Perform other related duties in support of contract and program requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience in credentialing, records management, administrative support, personnel administration, customer service, military administration, law enforcement administration, licensing, regulatory compliance, or case management.
  • Experience reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to learn secure web-based systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple applications, cases, or priorities while meeting established deadlines.
  • Ability to safeguard confidential, sensitive, and controlled information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree.
  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense, Federal Government, military, law enforcement, or another regulated organization.
  • Experience processing credentials, licenses, permits, security clearances, access badges, CAC/PIV cards, or other regulated documentation.
  • Experience using electronic records management, document management, customer relationship management, or case management systems.
  • Familiarity with LEOSA, credentialing programs, identity verification, eligibility determination, or applicant screening processes.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
