We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and detail‑oriented Fleet Lube Technician to join our fleet management team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing essential preventative maintenance, conducting thorough vehicle inspections, and managing the routine detailing and cleaning of our fleet. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, adaptable to evolving automotive technologies, and ready to assist senior fleet technicians in a fast‑paced, safety‑first environment.
Day‑to‑DayResponsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, brake servicing, and tire rotations/replacements. - Fleet Detailing:
Execute comprehensive vehicle detailing, cleaning, and washing to maintain a professional appearance for all fleet units. - Thorough Inspections:
Conduct multi‑point vehicle inspections upon arrival at the fleet shop and accurately document all work performed. - Diagnostics & Communication:
Identify and promptly report mechanical repair problems or safety issues to management. - Inventory & Logistics:
Pick up and run parts from various external vendors; safely climb ladders to retrieve parts and supplies from shop inventory. - Digital Documentation:
Utilize iPads, computers, and fleet management software to accurately enter work orders and locate vehicle information. - Team Support & Flexibility:
Provide assistance to senior fleet technicians as needed. Remain flexible to perform tasks assigned by the Fleet Manager, which may include duties outside the fleet shop or supporting other departments. - Compliance:
Understand and strictly follow federal, state, and local regulations, including the proper disposal of hazardous waste and adherence to shop safety protocols.
- Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of verifiable experience as a Lube Technician or in an equivalent automotive service role. - Detailing
Skills:
Proven experience in professional vehicle detailing and deep cleaning. - Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. - Licensing:
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record. - Physical Capabilities:
Possess the fine motor skills required to safely operate specialized tools, and the physical ability to lift heavy objects and climb ladders. - Growth Mindset:
Must be willing to attend required training sessions and continuously learn new technical information to stay updated with rapidly changing automotive technology.
