- Receives, reviews and compiles complex statistical data to produce estimates of labor market information following guidelines from the United States Department of Labor (US-DOL) and the Bureau of Labor & Statistics (BLS).
- Produce industry and occupation projections.
- Apply statistical procedures and tabulations in analysis of the economic data collected.
- Prepares and arranges statistical tables and charts to compile in manuals, handbooks and reports.
- Participate in the required OESC and Economic Research & Analysis Division security protocols.
- Ensure the federal and state mandates are met as they relate to the US-DOL WI grant requirements populating various federal and state databases.
- Adhere to QCEW, OEWS, LAUS, CES, and LMI program procedures.
- Identify, analyze, and correct (if needed) questionable data.
- Consult with stakeholders across the state to obtain economic data.
- Proactively ensure quality data collection by timely follow-up and resolution of all survey data problems.
- Ensure program deliverables are completed on a date no later than set forth within the BLS and DOL grant guidelines.
- Utilize excellent customer-service skills to provide the best results for the multiple activities involved in the division’s various programs.
- Utilize outreach methods to obtain employer / business / industry, economic information to meet the US-DOL WI and BLS grant requirements.
- Work special assignments & tasks as assigned by division management.
- Participate in the required Economic Research & Analysis Division training regimen.
- Follow the required security protocols of the division, agency and state.
- On-site attendance is an essential function of the position, as the role requires direct interaction with staff, clients, and on-site office resources.
